Job summary

Savino Del Bene GmbH is seeking an experienced Ocean Import Specialist to join our Operations team in Arndell Park, Sydney. This full-time, on-site role requires a strong background in ocean import documentation and performance in a fast-paced logistics environment.

You will liaise with overseas offices and agents, coordinate with brokers to release goods, and support billing and cost-saving initiatives while ensuring documentation accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Process ocean import documentation accurately and promptly.
• Receive, review and process ocean import documentation for carriers, customers and overseas offices.
• Coordinate with brokerage or CFS to release goods and handle government examinations as needed.
• Track shipments and provide updates to clients and sales.
• Issue and reconcile invoices for clients, agents and third parties.
• Explore options to reduce costs and increase revenues.
• Provide DAP/DDP cost estimates to overseas agents and quote last-mile transportation.
• Ensure compliance across all operational processes.

Based in Arndell Park, we are looking for an experienced Ocean Import Specialist to join our Operations team. This is a full time (on-site) permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure documentation is accurately processed, distributed and released to carriers, customers, overseas offices and agents in a timely manner.

Receive, review and process ocean import documentation.

Monitor completeness of Cargo Automation and Underbond lodgements.

Work with brokerage or CFS to coordinate and monitor the release of goods from the carrier, Customs or other government agency examinations that may be required.

Communicate with overseas offices and agents to ensure proper pre-alerts and documentation.

Track and trace shipment and provide updates to clients and sales.

Support managing Ocean Import shared email box

Issue and reconcile invoices for clients, agents and third parties.

Maintain shipment files and ensure billing is completed within a timely manner.

Explore different options to reduce costs and increase revenues.

Provide DAP /DDP cost to overseas agents and Quote for last mile transportation.

Ensure accuracy and compliance across all operational processes.

To be successful in this role:

Minimum 3 years’ experience is required.

Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills.

High standard of customer service skills .

Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong organisation skills.

Understand cost structures and marginality.

Exceptional attention to detail and have the ability to problem solve.

Work autonomously and as part of a team.

Exposure to Cargowise system, an advantage.
