Job summary

Whole Therapy is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a flexible, supportive team servicing the west Brisbane region. We tailor roles to suit each clinician, offering strong career progression and a vibrant team culture.

Qualifications

• AHPRA registration is mandatory.
• Bachelor of Occupational Therapy required.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check required.
• Driver's Licence and vehicle preferred for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Conduct home environment assessments and assist with home modifications.
• Provide occupational therapy services and build on clients' strengths for long-term outcomes.
• Access and prescribe standard and complex equipment as needed.
• Recommend vehicle modifications as part of mobility planning.
• Perform functional assessments and create therapy plans to improve daily living skills.
• Assess support needs and assist with transition to supported independent living.

About the Role

We work with people under the age of 65 in order to help them reach their goals. Achieving these goals is accomplished by:

• Conducting home environment assessments and assisting with major and minor home modifications
• Providingtherapy services to participants whilst building on their strengths and developing sustainable long term solutions to complex needs
• Accessing andprescribing standard and complex equipment
• Recommendations forvehicle modifications
• Functional assessments of occupational performance and development of therapy plans to promote daily living skills
• Assessing a clients support needs and assisting them with transitioning to supported independent living

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Proficient communication and organizational skills
• The ability to think creatively, think outside the box and rise to a challenge
• Demonstrates efficiency and competence withoccupational therapy processes and frameworks
• Experience in Complex Home Mods will be highly valued
