Job summary

EY is seeking an External Security Vetting Analyst to support the External Security Vetting Services program, focusing on NV2 matters. The role involves managing complex clearance cases, interviewing applicants, and producing evidence-based recommendations.

Flexible, hybrid work options are available to balance home and office, with a focus on high-security environments. The successful candidate will hold a Certificate IV in Government (Personnel Security Vetting) and maintain NV2 clearance,

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience assessing personnel security clearances, including NV2 matters, within Government, national security or similarly high-security environments.
• A current or recently held Negative Vetting Level 2 clearance, with the ability and willingness to maintain the clearance required for the role.
• Strong interviewing capability, including the ability to gather information sensitively, ask effective clarification questions, avoid assumptions and maintain procedural fairness.

Responsibilities

• Assess and progress NV2 security clearance cases meticulously, strictly adhering to the PSPF, agency requirements and EY best practices.
• Conduct structured, fair and professional applicant interviews to clarify information and assess vetting factors.
• Analyse complex and sensitive information including employment, financial, personal conduct and integrity considerations.
• Prepare clear, evidence-based case notes and recommendations for reviewers and decision-makers.
• Manage a complex, time-sensitive caseload balancing throughput, quality, risk and SLAs.
• Engage with quality assurance feedback and contribute to a high-performing vetting capability.
