Job summary

Gold Coast Health is seeking a Nursing Director (Digital Experience) to lead digital health initiatives and drive performance improvements for the Gold Coast Health Service. You will direct the implementation and change management for clinical digital initiatives and provide counsel to governance committees on digital opportunities to support safe clinical care.

The role requires a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent), registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, vaccination

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent required.
• Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Evidence of vaccination against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B.
• Tuberculosis screening to identify if vaccination may be required.
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed.
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost).

The primary focus of this role is to enhance efficiency and service delivery improvements to optimise Health Service performance.

The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Nursing Director (Digital Experience) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Direct the implementation and change management for clinical digital initiatives
• Provide authoritative counsel to Clinical Governance Committee regarding the use and opportunity for digital to support safe clinical care
• Identify and resolve complex clinical, operational and professional issues across multiple digital initiatives
• Provide authoritative, expert and timely advice on digital healthcare strategies

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• Qualifications – Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
• Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
