Achieve Australia is seeking an Assistant in Nursing for our Summer Hill Respite in Sydney. This max-term, part-time role covers 24/7 shifts and focuses on person-centred support for people with disability.

You will work in a group home, help clients build independence, provide personal care, transport and medication support, and complete client documentation. A Cert III in Disability or Individual Support is required, along with a NSW driver’s licence or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Minimum Cert III in Disability or Individual Support.
• Strong interpersonal, role modelling and customer service skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing environments with problem-solving.
• Understanding of NDIS, Code of Conduct, and Workplace Health and Safety.
• Ability to transport clients in Achieve Australia vehicles; NSW driver’s licence required.
• Experience with adults/children with complex disability.

Responsabilités

• Provide person-centred quality support to people with disability in a group home setting.
• Support clients to build independence and relationships.
• Provide personal care, including grooming, toileting, meals, transport and medication administration.
• Support use of aids and devices and other equipment as needed.
• Complete client documentation and update records in client management system.
