Job summary

NSW Health at Nepean Hospital invites an experienced Nurse Unit Manager to lead the Transit Lounge, coordinating Nursing resources and daily service delivery to support efficient patient flow.

You will work with the Nurse Managers, Patient Flow Unit, ED, inpatient wards, allied health, pharmacy and transport to enable timely discharges and safe, compassionate care. A Division 1 RN with AHPRA and leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse - Division 1 with AHPRA and extensive post-registration nursing experience.
• Demonstrated ability to create and support a culture of integrity and professionalism.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clinicians, managers and staff.
• Proven ability to manage human, physical and financial resources for safe care.

Responsibilities

• Lead Transit Lounge team and coordinate nursing resources.
• Improve patient flow and facilitate timely hospital discharges.
• Collaborate with Emergency Department, inpatient wards, pharmacy and transport services.
• Provide strategic clinical and operational leadership for the unit.
