Job summary

Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network is seeking an Associate Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager for the Transitional Care Program. The role is part time (pro-rata) and based in Murray/Mallee locations.

You will lead nursing and midwifery staff, mentor practitioners, and advance service management and continuity of care. Essential criteria include NMBA registration, 3+ years post-registration, rehabilitation nursing experience, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Registered or eligible for NMBA registration with current practising certificate.
• Minimum three years’ post-registration experience or current Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
• Demonstrated competence in rehabilitation nursing/midwifery and supervising students and less experienced staff.
• Effective communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution and teamwork skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads under minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, professional standards, contemporary healthcare issues and quality improvement systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality care and mentor developing practitioners while supporting service management.
• Contribute to practice improvements and continuity of care.
• Develop leadership skills and support coordination of transitional care.
