Job summary

Brisbane Private Hospital, part of Healthscope, seeks a Nurse Manager – Patient Flow & Workforce to lead nursing strategy and operations for patient flow. This role supervises After-hours Nurse Coordinators and casual staff, ensuring safe, quality care and efficient service delivery within a busy CBD hospital.

In collaboration with the Director of Nursing, you will drive data-informed decisions, workforce planning, and fiscal management while delivering exceptional care and staff development

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in clinical nursing and management at a senior level (4–6 years minimum).
• Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA).
• Strong commitment to customer service and quality outcomes.
• Consultative leadership style and ability to build rapport with stakeholders.
• Well-developed financial and analytical skills; able to manage KPIs, strategic planning.
• Post-graduate qualifications in Health Management are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for Patient Flow and workforce management.
• Support and line manage After-hours Hospital Nurse Coordinators and casual staff.
• Coordinate service delivery, human and material management.
• Leverage data analysis and fiscal management to deliver safe, quality, efficient care.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to drive safe and effective patient care.
