Job summary

Nepean Hospital, part of Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District, is seeking a Nurse Manager Grade 2 to lead the Patient Flow Unit Bed Management. The role focuses on coordinating patient flow, balancing bed capacity and resources to ensure safe, timely movement across the hospital.

You will work with nursing leadership and facility management to deliver strategic patient flow priorities and maintain high-quality care within NBMLHD.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1.
• Management qualification or equivalent experience and commitment to professional development.
• Experience in bed management or patient flow in an acute care setting.
• Computer literacy and experience with hospital software and KPIs.
• Broad clinical experience in a tertiary facility.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to motivate and organise staff.
• Ability to work autonomously or in a multidisciplinary team and interpret data.
• Current Driver’s Licence for work-related travel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow as Patient Flow Unit Bed Manager to ensure safe, timely patient movement.
