Residential Gardens is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Educator to join our team for 4 days per week. The role combines hands-on clinical work with education, mentoring and competency assessments to strengthen staff practice and resident care.

Residential Gardens is looking for a motivated Registered Nurse Educator to join our team 4 days per week. This is a great opportunity for an experienced aged care RN who is ready to step into an education-focused role while continuing to use their clinical knowledge and experience to make a meaningful difference.
You will work closely with our Quality & Education Manager and leadership team to build staff capability, strengthen clinical practice and support positive outcomes for our residents.
This is a hands-on education role where you will work directly with our care teams through education sessions, bedside coaching, mentoring and competency assessments.
You will:
Deliver mandatory, targeted and needs-based education to aged care staff.
Facilitate annual clinical competencies and practical assessments.
Provide bedside coaching and mentoring, helping staff translate knowledge into safe practice.
Develop and deliver education in response to incidents, audits, identified risks and emerging clinical needs.
Support onboarding, orientation and competency assessment of new employees.
Work alongside clinical and operational leaders to identify education needs and strengthen practice.
Evaluate education through competency assessments, audits and observation of practice.
Maintain accurate education and competency records.
Communicate staff progress, education needs and competency outcomes to relevant managers.
Contribute to continuous improvement across the organisation.
We are looking for an RN who is confident clinically, enjoys working with people and genuinely enjoys helping others learn.
You will have:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
Minimum 5 years' experience in residential aged care.
Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of contemporary aged care practice.
Experience providing education, coaching or mentoring to staff.
Good understanding of the Aged Care Act 2024, Aged Care Rules 2025, Strengthened Quality Standards, SIRS and clinical governance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisation and time management skills.
Ability to work independently while being part of a collaborative team.
Good computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Teams.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE), or willingness to obtain.
Experience developing education resources or delivering workplace education.
Additional qualifications or professional development in areas such as dementia, wound care, infection prevention and control, leadership or clinical education.
