Job summary

Walcom Ngarrwa Secondary College is seeking an outstanding educator to lead the development of whole school numeracy capability through the role of Learning Specialist: Numeracy Coach. This position plays a critical role in improving student achievement by building the confidence, knowledge and practice of teachers to effectively teach numeracy across all learning areas.

Qualifications

• Registered teacher with Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
• Experience leading numeracy improvement and coaching across teams.
• Ability to analyse student data and translate into teaching practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of the whole-school numeracy strategy.
• Provide high-quality coaching and mentoring to teachers across learning areas.
• Model and promote evidence-based numeracy instruction and data-informed planning.
• Lead professional learning and collaborative inquiry focused on numeracy.
• Analyse student achievement data to inform school improvement priorities.
