Northern Sydney Local Health District invites applications for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist Level 2 at Royal North Shore Hospital. The role is a permanent full-time position within a high-end Nuclear Medicine and PET department.

You will join a multidisciplinary team and be expected to deliver high-quality patient care, participate in safety and quality initiatives, and contribute to student education in a busy academic setting.

Formación

• Diploma or Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or recognised qualifications.
• Registration with AHPRA through the MRPB.
• License to use radioactive materials (EPA S14) and CT license IA16.

An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, motivated nuclear medicine technologist to be part of the multidisciplinary team working in a high‑end Nuclear Medicine and PET Department at the Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH).

Remuneration: $1576.33 - $2171.43 per week

Where you'll be working Nuclear Medicine Department, Royal North Shore Hospital.

What You'll Be Doing The Medical Radiation Scientist (Nuclear Medicine) Level 2 must prove competent and reliable in all duties of a qualified technologist. He/she is expected to deliver high quality work as required in an academic institution and must deal with patients in a professional manner. Observance of all rules and regulations of the Hornsby Ku‑ring‑gai Hospital is obligatory.

The Medical Radiation Scientist (Nuclear Medicine) Level 2 Must

• demonstrate independent and significant professional knowledge and judgement when performing clinical tasks
• take an active part in multidisciplinary teams and gain experience in the more complex Nuclear Medicine procedures including quality improvement/assurance programmes
• provide a high level of patient care and continue to develop their knowledge regarding work place safety issues (e.g. manual handling, WH&S)
• demonstrate significant ongoing commitment to continuing education and participate in undergraduate student education and departmental in‑service lectures.

Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria

• Diploma or Degree of Applied Science in Nuclear Medicine Technology/recognised qualifications in Nuclear Medicine; Registration with AHPRA through the MRPB; License to use radioactive materials in Nuclear Medicine (EPA radiation license Type S14) and ability to operate CT (EPA License IA16).
• Outline your understanding of the role of a nuclear medicine technologist in a busy academic institution Nuclear Medicine Department.
• Can you briefly summarise your knowledge of the RIS/PACS environment and how this is used in a Nuclear Medicine Department.
• What do you think are the important attributes needed to work in a small team environment?
