Job summary

The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) seeks capable Team Leaders for Northern Territory operations based in Darwin. You will oversee small to mid-sized teams, coordinate election planning, logistics, and engagement activities to support federal elections and referendums with high integrity and public confidence.

You will manage temporary staff, contribute to planning across election cycles, and ensure compliance with legislative requirements while guiding staff growth and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and delivering large-scale projects or events.
• Ability to analyse complex information and applying relevant legislation, policy and procedures.
• Experience developing and supporting team members to build capability and performance.
• Experience delivering education, engagement or public awareness initiatives for diverse communities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise teams of temporary election staff.
• Plan and deliver electoral events with integrity, transparency and on-time delivery.
