Job summary

Lumia Care Pty is urgently seeking compassionate Disability Community Support Workers to support clients in the South West Region, Sydney. You’ll help people live safely and independently in their own homes, monitor wellbeing and respond promptly to care needs.

You’ll receive paid induction, ongoing training and mentoring from experienced leaders. A driver’s license with a reliable insured vehicle is essential, and availability on Monday to Friday 8:00 AM–4:00 PM is required.

Qualifications

• Certifications in aged care or disability are required.
• Driver's license with a reliable insured vehicle is essential.
• Current checks or willingness to obtain: First Aid/CPR, Police Check, NDIS, WWCC.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care support safely and respectfully.
• Assist with mobility, transfers and wheelchair management.
• Support domestic tasks and home organisation.
• Provide emotional support and maintain a calm, structured environment.
• Monitor fatigue, pain levels and signs of distress.
• Follow care plan, risk management strategies and reporting requirements.

Make a real difference in your local community! We’re urgently looking for compassionate Disability Community Support Workers living in the South West Region. In this rewarding role, you'll provide support to clients, helping them live safely and independently in their own homes while staying connected to their community. You'll provide ongoing assistance, monitor clients' wellbeing, and respond promptly to their care needs.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide emotional support and maintain a calm, structured environment
• Monitor fatigue, pain levels, and signs of distress
• Follow care plan, risk management strategies, and reporting requirements

What You’ll Get

• Minimum 2 days availability required (Monday is a must) 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM & flexible

What We’re Looking For

• Caring, empathetic, and reliable individuals
• Strong communication skills (clear, simple, supportive)
• Willingness to learn, grow and has the ability to follow structured routines
• Cert III/IV in Aged Care, Disability, Community
• Disability/Aged Care/Manual Handling experience
• Driver’s licence + reliable insured vehicle (essential)
• Current checks (or willingness to obtain): First Aid/CPR, Police Check, NDIS, WWCC
