Job summary

Petbarn, Australia's specialty pet retailer, is seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead our Northwest Sydney stores. You will oversee up to 13 stores, drive profitability, team development, and store standards to ensure exceptional customer service.

You are a hands-on, strategic leader with 3-5 years multi-site retail management experience in high-volume environments, capable of delivering budgeted sales and margin targets while building strong store cultures.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of multi-site retail area management experience.
• Experience in high-volume, specialty retail or FMCG.
• Proven track record of achieving sales, margin and EBIT targets.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the area group across multiple stores.
• Coach and develop store management teams to maximise performance.
• Monitor sales, inventory, operational metrics and customer satisfaction to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with the central Petbarn team to plan and execute regional initiatives.
• Foster a positive, customer-focused culture across the area of responsibility.
