Job summary

Veolia ANZ is seeking a Workshop Supervisor to join our Environmental Services team in Brooklyn, VIC. You will lead a hands-on team to drive operational excellence, ensure safety policies, and maintain vehicles and plant to meet requirements across multiple workshops.

The role requires strong leadership, HV licences, and knowledge of NHVR. Veolia offers training, career progression, and the chance to contribute to a sustainable future within a global organisation.

Qualifications

• Heavy Vehicle Licence and Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Licence (Trade Licence).
• Understanding of National Heavy Vehicle Regulations.
• Strong leadership and team supervision skills.
• Tertiary qualification in business desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership in Health, Environment and Safety (HSE) management.
• Define team purpose, roles, responsibilities and accountabilities.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, plans and procedures.
• Maintain vehicles and plant in good working order to meet operations.
• Manage external contractors as required.
• Coordinate team meetings with clear action ownership.
• Lead and support a team of mechanics, apprentices and contractors.
• Ensure administrative requirements are completed accurately and promptly.
• Work across the Brooklyn, Geelong and Bendigo workshops.

What you'll be responsible for

• Provide strong leadership in all aspects of Health, Environment and Safety(HSE) management.
• Support the team establishing its purpose, roles, responsibilities and accountabilities
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies, plans and procedures.
• Ensure vehicles and plant are available, well maintained and in good working order to meet operational requirements
• Manage external contractors as required
• Ensure the availability of vehicles and plant in good repair to meet operational requirements
• Coordinate team meetings, ensuring actions are clearly allocated, followed up and completed
• Lead and support a team of mechanics, apprentices and contractors.
• Ensure all administrative requirements are completed accurately, promptly and in accordance with relevant policies and procedures
• Work across the Brooklyn, Geelong and Bendigo workshops

What you'll need to be successful

• Heavy Vehicle Licence
• Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Licence (Trade Licence)
• Tertiary qualifications in business highly desirable
• Understanding of National Heavy Vehicle Regulations
• Strong leadership being able to effectively work with and supervise your team
