Veolia ANZ in Melbourne is seeking a dynamic Workshop Supervisor to lead Health, Environment and Safety practices and drive operational excellence across Brooklyn, Geelong and Bendigo workshops.

You will guide a team of mechanics, apprentices and contractors, ensure vehicles and plant are maintained, and coordinate preventive actions while upholding Veolia's safety culture and pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• Heavy Vehicle Licence required.
• Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Licence (Trade Licence) required.
• Understanding of National Heavy Vehicle Regulations.
• Strong leadership and ability to supervise a team.
• Tertiary qualifications in business desirable.

Responsabilités

• Provide strong leadership in all aspects of HSE management.
• Define team purpose, roles, responsibilities and accountabilities.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed.
• Ensure vehicles and plant are available and well maintained.
• Manage external contractors as required.
• Coordinate team meetings with clear actions.
• Lead and support a team of mechanics, apprentices and contractors.
• Complete administrative requirements accurately and promptly.
• Work across the Brooklyn, Geelong and Bendigo workshops.

What you'll be responsible for

• Provide strong leadership in all aspects of Health, Environment and Safety(HSE) management.
• Support the team establishing its purpose, roles, responsibilities and accountabilities
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies, plans and procedures.
• Ensure vehicles and plant are available, well maintained and in good working order to meet operational requirements
• Manage external contractors as required
• Ensure the availability of vehicles and plant in good repair to meet operational requirements
• Coordinate team meetings, ensuring actions are clearly allocated, followed up and completed
• Lead and support a team of mechanics, apprentices and contractors.
• Ensure all administrative requirements are completed accurately, promptly and in accordance with relevant policies and procedures
• Work across the Brooklyn, Geelong and Bendigo workshops

What you'll need to be successful

• Heavy Vehicle Licence
• Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Licence (Trade Licence)
• Tertiary qualifications in business highly desirable
• Understanding of National Heavy Vehicle Regulations
• Strong leadership being able to effectively work with and supervise your team
