Job summary

Queensland Metal Recyclers in Rockhampton is seeking a Non Ferrous Labourer to support yard operations, sorting and processing scrap metal, and general duties in the Park Avenue yard. The role runs 7am–4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with full-time positions above award wages and casual start during a 3-month probation.

No prior scrap metal experience is required; a car license is needed and a forklift ticket is highly regarded. Truck license is an advantage.

Qualifications

• No prior scrap metal experience needed but willingness to work.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy with associated paperwork.
• Car License.
• Hold a current Forklift Ticket (willingness to get one immediately) (Highly regarded).

Responsibilities

• Sorting/processing of scrap metal.
• Assisting in yard operations including operating material handlers and excavators when required.
• Uniforms supplied after probation period (Including PPE).
• Hours 7am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday.

QMR Recyclers specialises in the purchase and sale of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals, both domestically and internationally. We are seeking an Non Ferrous Labourer to assist with the daily operations in our yard at Park Avenue, Rockhampton

Highly Regarded:

• Hold a current Forklift Ticket (willingness to get one immediately)
• Previous metal recycling experience
• Truck License an advantage

About the Role:

• All applicants must have an exceptional work ethic and willing and able to learn
• Hours 7am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday
• Full time positions available, above award wages paid for suitable candidates. Casual to begin with for 3 months probation period.
• Other duties will include sorting/processing of scrap metal
• Potential for experienced applicant to assist in yard operations including operating material handlers and excavators when required
• Uniforms supplied after probation period (Including PPE)
