Job summary

The Peabody Group is seeking a Duty Manager to lead the night shift at one of its Fortitude Valley venues. You run the shift while the GM handles rosters and admin by day, focusing on floor leadership, service, and sales to target.

You'll run pre-service briefings and the nightly run sheet, manage compliance (RSA, ID scanning, controllers and registers), and work professionally with entertainers. The role offers a fixed 4-night roster (Wed–Sat or Thu–Sun depending), a salary of $80,000 plus

Qualifications

• Current RMLV and Approved Manager approval (QLD).
• 2+ years supervising or managing late-night venues.
• Experience with cash handling and end-of-night balancing.
• Ability to enforce policies with staff and patrons.

Responsibilities

• Run pre-service, briefings and nightly run sheet.
• Lead on-floor service and drive sales to targets.
• Ensure compliance with RSA, ID scanning, and registers.
• Collaborate with entertainers and maintain professional standards.
• Close out the night with balancing, reporting, and handover.
