Job summary

Hyatt Place Melbourne Essendon Fields is seeking an experienced Night Supervisor to oversee overnight operations, reconcile guest accounts, and uphold Hyatt brand standards.

You will perform nightly audits, handle guest check-ins/outs, and support across departments while maintaining guest safety and service during the night shift. A minimum of 2 years in a similar role and OPERA Cloud experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Night Supervisor or similar role.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills for reconciling financial records.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient in hotel management software.

Responsibilities

• Perform nightly audit procedures to reconcile financial transactions and guest accounts.
• Generate and review financial reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist across hotel departments including Rooms and F&B.
• Handle guest check-ins/check-outs and resolve inquiries during the night.
• Monitor and maintain hotel security and safety protocols.
• Assist with other front office duties such as answering phones.
• Provide a high level of customer service to all guests overnight.
• Assist with guest and crew transportation arrangements.
• Work with Night Manager 3 days a week and 2 days independently.

We are seeking an experienced Night Supervisor to join our team at Hyatt Place Essendon Fields in the vibrant Essendon Fields area. As a Night Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel during the overnight hours. Your primary focus will be on managing guest accounts and providing exceptional customer service to our guests and uphold Hyatt brand standards during the overnight shift.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in Hospitality is an advantage

• Full Victorian Driver’s License a must

What we’re looking for

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Night Supervisor or similar role in the hospitality industry

• Previous experience using OPERA Cloud (essential).

• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to accurately reconcile financial records

• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to handle guest inquiries and resolve issues effectively

• Proficient in the use of hotel management software and technology

• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work independently during overnight shifts

• A team player with a positive and proactive attitude
