Job summary

Hyatt Place Melbourne Essendon Fields is seeking a Shuttle Bus Driver to transport guests between Melbourne Airport and the hotel, delivering a welcoming and safe travel experience.

You will operate shuttle buses on designated routes, assist guests with luggage and inquiries, maintain a clean vehicle, and support hotel operations as needed. Victorian Driver’s Licence required; prior shuttle or customer-service experience preferred.

• Safely operate shuttle buses on designated routes, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
• Adhere to all laws, regulations and company policies while driving and operating the shuttle buses.
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting passengers warmly, assisting with luggage, and addressing inquiries.
• Foster a friendly and welcoming atmosphere to enhance the guest experience.
• Maintain a clean and comfortable bus environment for all passengers.
• Conduct regular vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs to ensure safety and compliance.
• Assist with other tasks across the hotel as required.

About The Role

As our Shuttle Bus Driver, you will be the face of the hotel, responsible for transporting guests safely and efficiently between Melbourne Airport and Hyatt Place Melbourne Essendon Fields. Your commitment to excellent customer service will play a vital role in ensuring a positive and memorable experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate our shuttle buses on designated routes, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.


• Adhere to all laws, regulations and company policies while driving and operating our shuttle buses.


• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting passengers warmly, assisting with luggage, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.


• Foster a friendly and welcoming atmosphere to enhance the overall guest experience.


• Maintain a clean and comfortable bus environment for all passengers.


• Conduct regular vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues to ensure safety and compliance.


• Assist with other tasks and within other departments across the hotel, as required.

Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted Victorian Driver’s License.


• Proven experience in a similar role, preferred.


• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.


• Ability to handle challenging situations with patience and professionalism.


• Excellent navigation skills, knowledge of efficient routes and traffic regulations.


• May be required to undergo alcohol and drug screening.
