Job summary

Amazon in Sydney is seeking a Transportation Specialist to manage overnight yard operations at the Bella Vista site. You will coordinate trailer moves, oversee yard activities, assist with incidents, and train drivers as required to support the transport network.

You will generate daily load plans, communicate with dock teams and the NOC, and produce regular performance reports. The role requires flexibility to work nights and weekends and operate with autonomy when on-site or remotely guided.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, logistics, transportation, or distribution operations.
• Familiarity with yard management systems or similar software.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Create and distribute a daily End of Shift report detailing inbound/outbound loads.
• Communicate with OB dock team and NOC about delay reasons for late arrivals.
• Lead on-site yard safety by managing incident investigations.
• Coordinate with multiple carriers on on-site escalations and disruptions.
• Develop and communicate daily load plans to NOC and stakeholders.
• Monitor operations with DS teams, transport peers, and carriers to ensure on-time arrivals.
• Consolidate data from multiple sources for reports and trend analysis.
• Engage drivers to maintain yard organization and safety.
