Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Transportation Specialist for the Transportation Operations Management team at the Heathwood, Queensland facility. You will coordinate yard activities, lead safety initiatives, and support incident investigations while engaging multiple carriers and drivers to ensure timely trailer movements.

The role requires flexibility for a 38-hour week with potential overtime, night shifts, and weekend work, and involves working with systems like SSP, FMC, and YMS to generate performance

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights and holidays.
• Available to work 38+ hours per week.
• Experience in warehouse, logistics, transportation, or distribution operations.

Responsibilities

• Create and distribute a daily End of Shift report detailing inbound/outbound loads and action items.
• Communicate delay reasons to OB dock team and NOC.
• Lead on-site yard safety by managing incident investigations and reviewing defects.
• Coordinate with multiple carriers and contacts on on-site escalations, pick-up/delivery issues, and weather disruptions.
• Develop and communicate daily load plans and changes to NOC and stakeholders.
• Monitor daily operations with DS teams, transportation peers, and carriers to ensure on-time arrivals/departures.
• Consolidate data from multiple sources to generate daily/weekly/monthly reports.
• Engage carriers/drivers to maintain yard organisation and minimize delays.
• Utilise SSP, FMC, and YMS for data gathering and reporting.
