Job summary

CMAX Clinical Research Pty Ltd invites applications for a Laboratory Technician to join our team in Adelaide on a night shift (21:30–07:30) with alternate weekends. This is a permanent 12-month contract with potential extension, full-time or part-time considered.

The role supports high-quality clinical studies under SOPs, with supervision from the Laboratory Manager. The successful candidate will handle sample processing, storage and dispatch, maintain equipment, and assist with SOP/WI updates.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant science or health care discipline would be highly regarded or equivalent training.
• IATA Certificate is desirable (if not held, ability to pass is mandatory).
• Demonstrated knowledge of clinical study standards, regulations and ICH GCP for laboratory work.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and multitask while adapting to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Processing, storage, sorting of biological samples and required documentation.
• Dispatching of biological samples as required.
• Performing and documenting laboratory equipment maintenance activities.
• Housekeeping of laboratory areas.
• Monitoring laboratory supplies and notifying order requirements.
• Assisting in reviewing and updating SOPs and WIs.
• Acting as a buddy to train new staff.
• Undertaking study-specific tasks under supervision.
