Job summary

UPS is seeking a reliable Automotive Mechanic to join our fleet maintenance team in Redmond, WA. The Automotive Technician will be responsible for maintaining a diverse range of equipment, including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty on-road tractors, and trailers from various manufacturers.

Vehicles may use diesel, gasoline, or alternative propulsion technologies, and troubleshooting spans brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years journeyman automotive mechanic experience with medium/heavy-duty vehicles.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and PCs.
• Hands-on fleet repair or dealership experience.
• Experience performing DOT inspections in trucks.
• Willingness to work varying shifts and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Meets DOT requirements as assigned.
• Bend, stoop, climb, and perform manual tasks as required.
• Operate standard and manual transmissions.
• Use power and pneumatic tools.
• Maintain and repair a diverse fleet including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty tractors, and trailers.
