Job summary

TRS Resourcing is seeking a qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to service prime movers, trailers and heavy commercial vehicles in a well-equipped workshop in Perth, WA. This permanent, full-time position offers attractive hourly rates, regular overtime opportunities and career development within a modern workshop environment dedicated to safety and reliability.

You will diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance, document service histories and contribute to a high-standard repair

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent trade qualification.
• Previous experience servicing and repairing prime movers, trailers or heavy vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical faults.
• Knowledge of air brakes, suspension, hydraulics and associated transport systems.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to completing repairs correctly.
• Positive attitude towards safety, reliability and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Completing scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on heavy vehicles and trailers.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults.
• Carrying out repairs to braking systems, suspension, steering and driveline components.
• Investigating breakdowns and completing repairs to minimise vehicle downtime.
• Maintaining accurate service records and repair documentation.
• Ensuring all repairs are completed to a high standard and in accordance with safety procedures.
