Job summary

Sycle is hiring a Heavy Diesel Mechanic to maintain and service a diverse fleet of heavy vehicles including prime movers. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and manage preventative maintenance while ensuring compliance and safety standards.

Reporting to the Asset Reliability & Engineering team, you will coordinate with operations, manage parts inventory, and assist breakdown response in a fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on, safety-focused role in Melbourne.

Qualifications

• Trade Qualified as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic with a Certificate III or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years experience in heavy vehicle maintenance.
• Experience on prime movers, heavy rigid and hook trucks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections, diagnostics, servicing and repairs on a fleet of heavy vehicles.
• Respond to breakdowns and faults, rectify and return to service promptly.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules per OEM guidelines.
• Ensure NHVR, VicRoads and CoR compliance.
• Record maintenance activities in the CMMS.
• Liaise with operations on asset condition and servicing needs.
• Coordinate external suppliers and subcontractors for maintenance outcomes.
