Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited is hiring a part-time aged care nurse to deliver high-quality clinical care to residents in our NSW residential facility. Reporting to the Care Manager, you will lead and coach the personal care team, ensuring a person-centred approach while adhering to safety policies and standards.

The role requires current AHPRA registration, strong knowledge of AN-ACC processes, and a genuine commitment to compassionate elder care.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration required.
• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent.
• Thorough understanding of Aged Care Legislation and Quality Standards.
• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical nursing care to residents following best practice procedures.

Reporting directly to the Care Manager, you will be providing a high standard of nursing clinical care with an individual, person centred approach to all residents within our residential aged care home.

About the Role

• Providing direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice nursing procedures
• Acting as Team leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the personal care team
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar
• Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards
• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age – related health issues
• Strong coaching/training skills
• Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
