Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited in New South Wales is seeking a Part-time Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality clinical care in our residential aged care home, reporting to the Care Manager.

You will lead the personal care team, coach staff, and adhere to Aged Care Quality Standards and AN-ACC processes while maintaining a safe, compassionate, and compliant workplace.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Registered Nurse (AHPRA) with current practicing status.
• Thorough understanding of Aged Care Legislation and Quality Standards.
• Demonstrated knowledge of AN-ACC assessment processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical nursing care to residents following best practice.
• Act as Team Leader, coaching and guiding the personal care team.
• Uphold safety, comply with policies and procedures to protect residents and staff.

Reporting directly to the Care Manager, you will be providing a high standard of nursing clinical care with an individual, person centred approach to all residents within our residential aged care home.

About the Role

• Providing direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice nursing procedures
• Acting as Team leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the personal care team
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar
• Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards
• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age – related health issues
• Strong coaching/training skills
• Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
