Job summary

Touchstone is seeking a Crisis Support Practitioner (Nights) for Here For You Wakefield to provide urgent non-clinical support from 22:00 to 06:00, 28 hours per week in a 4 nights on/4 nights off pattern. The fixed-term role runs until 31 March 2028 with potential extension and requires experience in supporting people in emotional distress, including those at risk of self-harm.

The Wakefield service operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people experiencing emotional distress, including those at risk of suicide or self-harm.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight crisis support and triage during night hours.
• Engage with diverse communities in a trauma-informed, culturally responsive manner.
• Collaborate with emergency services and other health and third-sector partners as needed.
