Job summary

The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre is seeking an after-hours counsellor advocate to provide crisis response for adults, young people and children who have experienced sexual assault or family violence. Staff operate from home during shifts, with on-call rosters to cover weeknights and weekends.

The role includes phone or in-person support based on immediate needs and victim survivor assessment. You will work autonomously and with a dynamic team, supported by ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Degree in psychology, social work, welfare, community development or other relevant discipline.
• Minimum one year relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide after-hours crisis response by phone or in person, depending on needs.
• Roster on-call shifts including weeknights and weekends.
• Work from home or outreach locations as required.
• Maintain accurate, confidential case notes and use relevant databases.
• Collaborate with key providers and stakeholders across complex systems.
