Job summary

Calvary is seeking Personal Care Support Workers in the Newcastle Region to assist a diverse range of clients with daily living activities. The role covers Domestic Assistance, Social Support, Respite Care, Transport, Meal Preparation, Medication Administration and Personal Care at clients' homes and in the community.

Permanent Part Time and Casual positions are available, with benefits and opportunities for development within Australia\'s large healthcare provider network.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability or Individual Support (desirable)
• Current and valid Driver’s Licence, comprehensively insured vehicle and smartphone
• Capacity to perform meaningful community-based care
• Effective verbal and written communication with a customer service orientation
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
• Proficiency with smartphones, email and internet

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living and home care tasks
• Provide domestic assistance, social support, respite care and transport as needed
• Prepare meals and assist with medication administration
• Deliver personal care at home and in community settings

• A Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability or Individual Support (desirable)
• Current and valid Driver’s Licence, Comprehensively insured, reliable motor vehicle and smart mobile phone
