Job summary

TD SYNNEX (Tech Data) is seeking a Networking Pre-Sales Consultant / Solutions Architect to deliver expert guidance across Data Centre, Campus networking, security and 5G. The role supports partners and end users with design, PoC execution, and demonstrations from Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne.

You will co-own technical opportunities, deliver training, and stay current with certifications while collaborating with internal and external teams to close deals and drive customer value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Telecommunications, plus certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, CISSP, Azure or AWS Networking.
• Ability to design and support resilient, secure network environments using routing/switching, SD-WAN, cloud networking, segmentation, firewalls, VPNs and private wireless networks.
• Experience with network security frameworks, Zero Trust, disaster recovery, BC/DR and regulatory compliance are highly valuable.
• Automation and software-defined networking skills with Python, Ansible, Terraform and network management platforms.
• At least 8+ years of enterprise networking experience designing and implementing large-scale networks.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical solutions expertise to partners and end users in a consultative sales environment.
• Co-own and manage the technical elements of sales opportunities to successful closure.
• Engage with end users and resellers to define multi-technology solutions to meet customer needs.
• Conduct training sessions, webinars, and workshops to upskill partners and internal teams on networking solutions.
• Lead hands-on PoCs and live demonstrations to showcase the value of networking technologies.
• Support sales teams to deliver technical quotes in line with SLA definitions.
• Maintain up-to-date certifications across Data Centre, Campus networking, security, private networking and 5G.
• Collaborate with vendors to understand product roadmaps, integration capabilities, and differentiators.
• Act as a trusted advisor for partners and customers on networking best practices, compliance, and risk mitigation.
