The Missing Link in Sydney is seeking an Electronics Design Engineer to join our team, focusing on high-quality electronics design and robust solutions for consumer markets. This permanent, full-time role is based in Central Sydney with a competitive salary and super.

You will design electronics assemblies, prototype rapidly, and collaborate with manufacturers and cross-functional teams to deliver compliant products and a strategic roadmap.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics, Mechatronic or Electrical Engineering.
• Around 5 years engineering experience in consumer product or medical industry.
• End-to-end motor-driven product development experience.
• Strong electronics design knowledge and rapid prototyping skills.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and international manufacturing partners.
• Familiarity with regional and international electrical safety standards.
• Proficiency in Altium PCB design software.

Responsibilities

• Design electronic assemblies from schematic to PCB layout.
• Prototype fast-turn electronics with internal and supplier support.
• Collaborate with manufacturers on components, assembly, and quality.

Electronic Design Engineer

Central Sydney

Circa $110,000 + super (negotiable)

Fast-growing global brand, based in Sydney, is looking for an Electronic Design Engineer to join their team, working on high quality product designs and robust engineered solutions for consumer markets. Role and Responsibilities

• Ensuring products are holistically considered and linked to the company’s mission and ethics
• Detail design of electronics assembly, including schematic capture and solid PCB design
• Fast turnaround electronics prototype construction, produced internally and with suppliers
• Communicating with manufacturers on components selection, assembly development and production quality expectations
• Contributing to the company’s successful product compliance
• Collaborating with the mechanical/industrial design team
• Maintaining technical documentation and assisting with reports to stakeholders
• Assisting in the creation of product performance test procedures to ensure the quality and safety of product satisfies regulatory standards and brand expectations
• Supporting the development and delivery of the strategic product roadmap in an efficient and timely manner

Your Skills and Experience

You will have a degree in Electronics, Mechatronic or Electrical Engineering with electromechanical experience in both a product design and manufacturing environment, plus:

• Circa 5 years of engineering experience – preferably in the consumer product or medical industry
• Motor driven product development experience (end-to-end)
• Strong electronics design knowledge
• Rapid prototyping skills, Arduino and MCU programming skills are a plus
• Proven experience collaborating with cross functional teams as well as coordinating with international manufacturing partners
• Familiarity with both regional and international electrical and safety compliance standards
• High proficiency in PCP design software - Altium
