Job summary

Launch Recruitment Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Network & Systems Engineer to join a leading telecommunications environment, supporting National Emergency Warning System (NEWS) and Cell Broadcast Centre (CBC) platforms. This role provides Level 2 technical support, troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues and ensuring reliability and performance of critical telecom systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in network engineering or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2 support across NEWS/CBC platforms.
• Troubleshoot Linux, networking, server and infrastructure issues.
• Manage incidents, escalations and fault resolution within SLAs.
• Support Cisco switches, Check Point firewalls and F5 load balancers.
• Perform system upgrades, maintenance and performance optimisation.
• Develop automation scripts and improve operational processes.
• Collaborate with customers, vendors and engineering teams.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call support roster.
