We have an exciting opportunity for a Network Systems Engineer to join our Network Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, reliability and ongoing enhancement of SA Power Networks’ operational SCADA system and associated field devices, including RTUs and data concentrators.
Supporting a 24/7 operational environment, you will provide technical expertise across SCADA and remote control systems, contribute to system development work, and play a key role in ensuring accurate data and reliable system performance for the Network Operations Centre.

You will be a technically minded and solutions-focused engineering professional who enjoys working in operational environments where reliability, accuracy and stakeholder confidence matter. You will bring strong analytical capability, sound judgement and the ability to work collaboratively with technical teams, service providers and operational stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will bring experience in the maintenance and enhancement of SCADA environments, strong knowledge of SCADA systems and devices, and an understanding of electricity distribution systems, plant and operations.
A degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent tertiary qualification and/or relevant experience will be highly regarded, along with a current Class C driver’s licence.
You will also be comfortable using business systems and reporting tools, managing competing priorities, communicating technical information clearly, and supporting change in a safety-focused operational setting. Due to the nature of this role, an AusCheck critical worker background check will be required.
