Job summary

The Recruitment Company is seeking an experienced Level 2 Network Support Engineer to back a government client’s large-scale NSW rollout. You will deploy Cisco Meraki networking solutions across metropolitan and regional locations, configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls and APs, and support end users while documenting work and tickets.

You must be comfortable traveling throughout NSW with a company vehicle provided; accommodation and meals covered as per policy.

Qualifications

• Experience in Level 2 Network Support roles.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki networking solutions is highly desirable.
• Experience configuring, installing and troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points.
• Familiarity with the Meraki Dashboard for monitoring, configuration and troubleshooting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and support Cisco Meraki infrastructure across multiple sites in NSW.
• Configure, install and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls and wireless APs.
• Maintain accurate network documentation and support tickets.
• Collaborate with IT teams and provide end-user technical support.
• Escalate complex issues when required and travel as needed within NSW.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Level 2 Network Support Engineer to join a specialist professional services company supporting a key government client on a large-scale Network Connectivity Deployment Project across New South Wales. This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in a significant infrastructure rollout, deploying Cisco Meraki networking solutions across metropolitan and regional locations. The ideal candidate will have solid Level 2 networking experience, with hands-on skills across network configuration, troubleshooting, hardware installation and connectivity support. You will work alongside an established technical team, assisting with the deployment and support of Cisco Meraki infrastructure across operational sites. Willingness to travel throughout NSW is essential, with a vehicle provided and accommodation and meal expenses covered.

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in a Level 2 Network Support, Network Technician or Infrastructure Support role.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki networking solutions highly desirable.
• Experience configuring, installing and troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points.
• Familiarity with the Cisco Meraki Dashboard for network monitoring, configuration and troubleshooting advantageous.
• Good understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, VPNs and wireless networking.
• Experience supporting network connectivity across multiple sites or distributed environments.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve Level 2 network connectivity, performance and hardware issues.
• Experience assisting with network upgrades, hardware replacements, installations and connectivity testing.
• Ability to maintain accurate network documentation, configuration records and support tickets.
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide technical support to end users and work collaboratively with other IT teams.
• Ability to work independently when attending sites and **escalate** complex technical issues when required.

Travel & Deployment Requirements

Willingness to travel throughout NSW is essential, visiting operational units as part of the connectivity rollout.

A vehicle will be provided for deployment-related travel.

Accommodation and meal expenses will be covered in accordance with the relevant award and organisational policies.

Flexibility to work across metropolitan and regional NSW locations, supporting network deployments and connectivity upgrades.

Location: NSW - statewide travel required.
