As a hands-on Network Supervisor, you will lead a team to ensure live transport network performance, coordinate incidents and emergencies, and drive continuous improvement while prioritising safety and stakeholder

Qualifications

  • Experience in an operations supervision role coordinating teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong leadership and ability to manage direct reports and make decisive decisions.
  • Clear, concise communication across in-person, radio, or phone with a diverse team.
  • Strong autonomous working attitude and analytical judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Leading a team of Network Controllers, providing clear direction, coaching, and support through regular 1-1s to drive performance and personal development
  • Overseeing network activities from service departure through to achieving KPIs such as on-time running, reliability, and effective incident management
  • Partnering with the Manager – Network Performance and Disruptions to develop and implement proactive network management strategies
  • Acting as the first point of escalation for Network Controllers during incidents and emergencies, providing swift and decisive support
  • Facilitating collaborative communication between Network Controllers, depots, workshops, and external stakeholders
  • Auditing network performance data and team feedback to identify and implement improvements
  • Ensuring accurate recording and timely escalation of disruptions, incidents, and performance issues in line with company policy
  • Identifying training needs and development opportunities for your team

Job description

We're looking for a Network Supervisor to play a pivotal role in the minute-by-minute management and performance of our live transport network. Leading a team of Network Controllers, you'll ensure daily activities are proactive and deliver on key network KPIs, including reliability and on-time running. This role is a full-time permanent role working 38 hour weeks.

This is a hands-on leadership role where your success will come from building a highly engaged team and fostering effective communication - both internally and with external stakeholders. You'll be instrumental in supporting Network Controllers through regular operations, incidents, and emergencies, always with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doing:

What You'll Bring
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar operations supervision role, coordinating teams in a dynamic environment
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a track record of managing direct reports and making confident, critical decisions
  • Excellent communication skills — clear and concise, whether in person, via radio, or over the phone, across a diverse team
  • A self-motivated, enthusiastic approach to day-to-day operations and a positive attitude toward a continually changing environment
  • Strong analytical skills and sound judgement, with the ability to operate autonomously
  • Solid computer and systems literacy, including Microsoft Office, business intelligence software, and vehicle tracking/operations systems
  • A minimum medium rigid driver's licence (or willingness to obtain) and a Working with Children Check
