Job summary

JBS Australia Pty Limited is seeking an experienced Network & Security Manager to lead our Network & Security function across our Australian operations. You will drive strategy, oversee secure, scalable infrastructure and manage a team of specialists to support production facilities, offices and data centres.

Reporting to the Head of IT Infrastructure & Security, you will champion governance, incident response and continuous improvement, ensuring high-availability networks, secure remote access

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading enterprise network engineering and security operations within a complex, multi-site organisation.
• Proven people leadership experience, including coaching, development and performance management.
• Hands-on and architectural expertise across Cisco networking technologies.
• Advanced knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls, secure connectivity and perimeter security.
• Experience managing SD‑WAN environments, ideally with Netskope.
• Demonstrated experience designing and supporting complex data centre and hybrid network environments.
• Strong knowledge of WAN, LAN, wireless networks, carrier services, load balancing and resilient network design.
• Experience managing critical incidents and operating in high‑availability environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, vendor management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Network and Security Administrators.
• Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Manage priorities, resource allocation, performance, development plans and after-hours support arrangements.
• Partner closely with Infrastructure, Engineering and Operations teams on IT/OT integration initiatives.
• Ensure the reliable operation of enterprise network services across corporate offices, production facilities and data centres.
• Lead the resolution of major incidents and critical outages relating to WAN, LAN, wireless networks, SD-WAN, firewalls, load balancing and connectivity.
• Oversee monitoring, lifecycle management, capacity planning, patching and infrastructure maintenance.
• Manage change implementation in line with governance and risk management requirements.
• Drive service improvements through operational metrics, reporting and continuous optimisation.
• Own and manage core network and security platforms including: Cisco switching and routing; Cisco & Ubiquity wireless network infrastructure; Netskope SD-WAN; SASE and secure remote access technologies; Data centre networking and carrier connectivity; Megaport services and resilient network architecture; Load balancing and network monitoring platforms.
• Manage relationships with telecommunications providers, vendors and managed service partners.
• Review technical designs, solution proposals and infrastructure roadmaps.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and technology lifecycle planning.
• Engage with business stakeholders to ensure network services align with operational requirements.

We are looking for an experienced Network & Security Manager to lead our Network & Security function and play a key role in delivering secure, reliable and scalable infrastructure across our Australian operations.

Reporting to the Head of IT Infrastructure & Security, this leadership role is responsible for the operational performance, security and lifecycle management of JBS Australia's network, communications and perimeter security environments. You'll lead a team of technical specialists while driving network strategy, operational excellence and ongoing technology improvements across a large, multi-site enterprise.

What You'll Be Doing

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Network and Security Administrators.

• Cisco CCNP, Palo Alto PCNSE, Netskope or equivalent certifications.
• Experience with Azure networking, hybrid cloud connectivity and data centre interconnects.
• Knowledge of IT service management and infrastructure governance frameworks.
