Verse in Australia is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and secure enterprise and industrial network infrastructure across a diverse client base. Responsibilities

• Design, stage, test, deploy, and support industrial and enterprise network solutions across design, build, commissioning, and operational phases.
• Architect and implement secure, highly available network infrastructures, including multi-site and multi-datacentre environments.
• Deliver advanced routing and switching solutions incorporating OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, WAN, redundant routing, and complex failover scenarios.
• Design and deploy next-generation security solutions with a strong focus on modern firewall, cloud security, and SD-WAN technologies.
• Implement and manage SD-WAN, VPN, and Zero Trust security models.
• Lead network migrations, upgrades, and transformation projects while ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.
• Conduct network audits, performance assessments, and security reviews, providing actionable recommendations.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation including HLDs, LLDs, as-built documentation, and operational runbooks.
• Support pre-sales activities including solution design, bill of materials (BOM) creation, and technical proposal development.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and cross-functional teams to deliver integrated technology solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and security issues across enterprise environments.

What You'll Need

• Be a highly capable Senior Network Engineer who can manage multiple projects autonomously while maintaining high quality standards.
• Bring strong technical expertise across enterprise networking, wireless, and security technologies.
• Demonstrated experience designing and delivering secure, resilient network architectures across complex environments.
• Strong experience with enterprise security platforms, SD-WAN, VPN technologies, and Zero Trust principles.
• Proven ability to produce clear and detailed technical documentation and design artefacts.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Skills & Attributes

• Deep expertise in Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, including advanced routing and switching design.
• Strong experience with enterprise firewall and security platforms.
• Experience across multi-vendor environments including, Palo Alto, Cisco, HPE Aruba, Juniper, Extreme Networks, and other enterprise networking technologies.
• Strong knowledge of wireless networking technologies including Wi-Fi 6/6E/7, 802.1X authentication, and site surveying.
• Experience with Network Access Control (NAC) solutions and cloud-based network management platforms.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills across complex network environments.
• Understanding of Australian Standards and industry practices, particularly within Mining, Aviation, Local Government, and State Government sectors.

Certifications

Industry-recognised certifications across networking and security technologies are highly regarded, including certifications from Cisco, HPE Aruba, Palo Alto Networks, and Juniper Networks.
