Job summary

S5 Technology Group in Brisbane is seeking a Network & Security Engineer to build a long-term career with modern network and firewall platforms, cloud security, identity, and zero trust. You will work alongside experienced engineers to deliver secure, scalable solutions for our customers.

Responsibilities include 3rd line support, design and deployment of firewall architectures (Check Point preferred), PKI management and cross-domain integration in Azure, with growth opportunities as you gain

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on network and/or security engineering in MSP/MSSP environments
• Current IT-based degree and/or vendor certifications (CCNA/CCNP, CCSE/CCSM)
• Strong firewall architecture and segmentation knowledge; Check Point preferred
• PKI, certificate and authentication experience
• Solid routing, switching, VPN and network fundamentals; Cisco and Meraki preferred
• Generalist mindset across network, infrastructure, security and cloud
• System architecture or solution design experience is a plus
• Full working rights in Australia (PR or citizenship)

• Troubleshoot complex routing, switching, VPN and firewall issues to resolution
• Support enterprise storage (Pure, HPE, Dell) and hypervisor environments (ESXi, Nutanix, Hyper-V)
• Contribute to system architecture and design for new and existing customer environments
• Deliver project work end to end, and document solutions and changes to a high standard

We are looking for a Network & Security Engineer who wants to build a long-term career working with modern network and firewall platforms, cloud security, identity and zero trust, alongside experienced and driven engineers.

What you will do:

• Provide 3rd line support and escalation for network and security incidents across customer environments
• Design, deploy, configure and maintain firewall solutions, with preference given to Check Point experience
• Own PKI, certificate lifecycle and authentication services (ADCS and Azure)
• Troubleshoot complex routing, switching, VPN and firewall issues to resolution

What we are looking for:

Salary and benefits:

• Advertised range AUD 95,000 to 125,000 plus super
• Contracted base salary increases and bonuses available on achievement of agreed industry certifications
• Permanent full-time role with a supportive team and ongoing development support
