Job summary

A Managed Service Provider based in Brisbane is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead and support Azure infrastructure projects in a hybrid working environment. Senior Infrastructure / Network / Security Engineer (L3)

Brisbane CBD | Hybrid | Up to $140K + Super | Full-Time Permanent

A collaborative and forward-thinking Managed Service Provider based in Brisbane CBD is seeking an experienced Level 3 Senior Engineer to join their growing technical team.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will act as a senior technical escalation point while also contributing to infrastructure design, cloud migrations, security projects and network transformations.

You will:

• Lead and support Microsoft 365 and Azure infrastructure projects
• Deliver and maintain secure Azure environments and cloud migrations
• Design and implement Fortinet, Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco, Juniper SRX firewall deployments, including full replacements and configuration
• Configure and manage IPsec tunnels and secure connectivity solutions
• Support and troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, routing and switching environments
• Work across switching technologies (Cisco, Aruba, HPE, Dell, FortiSwitch)
• Automate tasks and streamline operations using PowerShell and Python
• Operate within structured ITIL-based service environments
• Utilise PSA/RMM tools including Autotask, N-Central and ConnectWise
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical documentation

This role balances project delivery, technical leadership, and high-level escalation support within an MSP environment.

• 5+ years’ experience within an MSP environment
• Strong specialisation in Microsoft 365 and Azure infrastructure
• CCNA certification (or equivalent networking capability)
• Advanced experience deploying and configuring firewalls
• Strong knowledge of IPsec tunnels, DNS, DHCP and core networking principles
• Experience across enterprise switching platforms (Cisco, Aruba, HPE, Dell or FortiSwitch)
• Experience supporting and delivering cloud migrations
• Strong scripting/automation skills (PowerShell and/or Python)
• Experience working within ITIL-aligned environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Additional Microsoft or Azure certifications
• Networking certifications
• Experience leading technical workshops or client solution discussions
