Job summary

FinXL IT Professional Services is seeking a Network Engineer - NV1 to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Telco client on a key transformation engagement.

You will deliver end-to-end Cisco routing and switching solutions, design and maintain enterprise routing architectures, and ensure adherence to government security standards across complex networks. This role requires hands-on expertise and relevant NV1 clearance.

Qualifications

• Active Australian Government NV1 security clearance.
• Hands-on Cisco routing and switching experience.
• Knowledge of VLANs, STP and EtherChannel.
• Experience in Telco or enterprise networks.
• CCNA/CCNP or equivalent certifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end Cisco routing and switching solutions across complex network infrastructure.
• Design, configure, and maintain high-performing enterprise routing architectures.
• Implement robust enterprise switching protocols to maintain continuous service delivery.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve advanced network performance issues and incidents.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support network upgrades and changes.
• Ensure strict adherence to government security protocols and network architecture standards.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, topology maps, and procedural guidelines.

Responsibilities

Deliver end-to-end Cisco routing and switching solutions across complex network infrastructure.

Design, configure, and maintain high-performing enterprise routing architectures.

Implement robust enterprise switching protocols to maintain continuous service delivery.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve advanced network performance issues and incidents.

Key Skills & Experience

Must hold an active Australian Government NV1 (Negative Vetting 1) Security Clearance.

Strong hands-on engineering experience in Cisco routing and switching technologies.

Deep technical understanding of switching frameworks (VLANs, STP, EtherChannel).

Demonstrated experience working within large-scale Telecommunications or Enterprise networks.

Solid analytical and problem-solving skills for complex network operational issues.

Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent experience).
