Westpac is seeking a hands-on Enterprise Network Engineer to support highly available network services across branch, corporate and international environments in a hybrid role. You’ll own incidents and changes, collaborate with internal teams, providers and vendors, and contribute to stability and continuous improvement of our network services.

On-call and after-hours changes are expected. You will apply expertise in Cisco SD-WAN, SDA Campus, wireless, ISE, and routing/switching, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience supporting enterprise networks in operations and projects.
• Experience troubleshooting Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) and implementing network changes.
• Knowledge of Cisco SDA Campus environments and Catalyst/DNAC.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco wireless and ISE troubleshooting.
• Strong routing/switching skills with BGP/OSPF and L2/L3 design.
• DNS, DHCP, VLANs, interfaces, redundancy, firewall basics.
• Ability to coordinate complex network incident resolution with service providers.
• Experience delivering controlled network changes from planning to transition to operations.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes for incident/change/problem management.
• Exposure to network automation and delivery tooling (Python/Ansible, Jenkins/Bitbucket)

• Support and manage enterprise network environments across operations and projects.
• Own network issues and changes, driving restoration and clean handoffs.
• Deliver network changes with planning, testing, implementation, validation and rollback.
• Collaborate with internal teams, service providers and vendors for stability.
• Participate in an on-call roster and after-hours changes as required.
• Maintain documentation and status updates; share knowledge across the team.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of network services and processes.
• Engage in ITIL-aligned incident, change and problem management practices.
