Job summary

Endeavour Group is seeking a Network Engineer to own end-to-end network reliability across 350+ sites nationwide, in a hybrid role based in Sydney or Melbourne. You’ll design, deploy, and operate SD-WAN, secure access, and firewall policies within an ITIL-aligned framework.

You’ll work with multi-vendor firewalls, automate with Python and Ansible, and collaborate with technology partners to deliver upgrades on time while safeguarding data and availability.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated 4+ years in enterprise or customer‑facing networks.
• Deep knowledge of SD‑WAN (Meraki, Cisco) and routing protocols (BGP/OSPF).
• Experience with multi‑vendor security across major firewall platforms.
• Understanding Zero Trust architectures and secure cloud networking in Azure.

Responsibilities

• Network Infrastructure Operations: design, deploy, and optimise services across 350+ sites.
• Firewall Engineering Management: configure and audit enterprise firewalls; policy updates.
• Secure Access Delivery: implement secure remote access and robust VPNs.
• Proactive Threat Response: monitor logs and telemetry to detect threats.
• Disaster Recovery Planning: document and test DR plans to minimise downtime.
• Network Automation Tooling: build scripts and use automation tools (Python, Ansible).
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: partner with internal teams and vendors to deliver upgrades on time.
