Job summary

Infosys in Sydney, Australia, seeks a Network Engineer to lead transformative technology strategies. The role focuses on designing, configuring, and supporting enterprise networks with SD‑WAN expertise, Cisco ISE, and catalyst/nexus gear.

Hybrid work is available, with a salary in the AUD range and a strong emphasis on client collaboration. You will work with cross‑functional teams to ensure network performance, reliability, and SLA compliance, leveraging CCNA/CCNP knowledge and extensive vendor

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of relevant experience in Technical Operations/Service Delivery.
• Experience designing, configuring and troubleshooting networks per requirements.
• Hands-on with SD-WAN solutions (Cisco Viptela, Silver Peak, Velocloud, Meraki).
• Strong knowledge of BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS, HSRP/VRRP, LAN/WAN.

Responsibilities

• Design the network, configure devices, and document changes.
• Support SD-WAN deployments and troubleshoot escalated issues.
• Prepare low level designs from high level designs and validate configurations.
• Maintain network docs, diagrams, and change logs.
• Ensure SLA-compliant incident resolution and client communications.

Roles and Responsibilities

• 6-8 years relevant experience in the areas of Technical Operations and Service Delivery in a Large Enterprise or a Service Provider
• Network Engineer will be primarily responsible for designing the network, configuration and troubleshooting as per requirement and document the same.
• The support of SDWAN solutions such as Cisco Viptela, Silverpeak and Velocloud Meraki.
• Based on high level design provided by Customer and solution manager, engineer need to prepare configuration, collect network information and prepare low level design detail
• The engineer will be responsible making sure that all client support cases are met, responded, and resolved in a timely manner without breaching the SLA.
• Configure and maintain Layer 2/3 network devices with various vendors like cisco , Juniper etc (routers, switches, Transport devices)
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated network issues from L2/L3 support
• Deploy and manage SD-WAN solutions (e.g., Cisco Viptela, Silverpeak)
• Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and reliability
• Perform network upgrades, patching, and configuration changes
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and change logs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for incident resolution and change management
• Should have strong knowledge of networking technologies such as BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS,HSRP,VRRP ,LAN/WAN etc.
• Required to follow up with clients, have joint troubleshooting sessions with the client to help achieve speedy resolutions.
• Engage with partner for pre-staging ,cross check the configuration/pre-check logs before installation or delivering the equipment to respective country partner office.
• Hands on experience on implementation , design , migration, planning
• Hands-on experience on Cisco SDWAN/Viptela / velo cloud / silver peak Technology and products
• CCNA and CCNP Level knowledge
• LAN/WAN Troubleshooting, Experience on dynamic routing protocol-BGP,OSPF and static routing protocol.
• Strong experiences with Cisco switching & routing technology, including iOS, Nexus switches, Fex (fabric extension to Nexus).
• Strong working knowledge on Cisco ISE, for TACACS & networking policies
• Strong Alteon knowledge related to Load Balance
• Strong knowledge on DNAC or Catalyst switches
• Strong knowledge on EIP for DDI related work
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to tailor communication style to different audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to create compelling presentations and effective demonstrate technical solutions
• A result -oriented approach with a strong work ethic
• Active listening, client relationship building , collaboration, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong ability and desire to learn new technologies and capability to drive innovation are absolute must
• Certification: CCNA/CCNP/ENSDWI/SPSP

• CPE LAN and wireless – Cisco, Aruba/HPE
