Job summary

Ventia is seeking a Network Engineer to join the T2D project in Adelaide, on-site. You will support delivery and operation of network infrastructure across tunnels, roadside and control rooms, building core, distribution and access layers.

You will configure Cisco networking, Palo Alto firewalls, and Panorama for secure IT/OT separation, while ensuring high bandwidth capacity for CCTV, SCADA and public address systems. Documentation and handover activities are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and PAN-OS security policies.
• VMware vSphere/ESXi and vCenter administration expertise.
• Cisco networking technologies including IOS/IOS-XE, BGP and OSPF.
• Ability to design, document and troubleshoot complex networks.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure and deploy the project's Communications Data Network across tunnel, roadside and control room environments.
• Build and maintain Cisco networking infrastructure with routing, switching and resilient topologies.
• Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama for secure separation of networks.
• Deliver network capacity for high-bandwidth systems such as CCTV, SCADA and emergency comms.
• Produce and maintain IP schemas, drawings and configuration standards.
• Support testing, commissioning, cutovers and handover while troubleshooting network/security issues.

Ventia is seeking a Network Engineer to join our team supporting the River Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Project in Adelaide. Based on-site and working alongside experienced engineering professionals, you'll play a key role in delivering communications and network infrastructure for one of South Australia's most significant transport projects while finding your further with Ventia.

About the role

As a Network Engineer, you will support the delivery, configuration and ongoing operation of network infrastructure across the T2D project. Additionally, you'll:

• Design, configure and deploy the project's Communications Data Network across tunnel, roadside and control room environments, covering core, distribution and access layers
• Build and maintain Cisco networking infrastructure, including routing, switching, BGP, OSPF, VLANs and resilient ring topologies supporting critical ITS and control systems
• Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls, security policies, NAT and Panorama, maintaining secure separation between corporate IT and operational technology networks
• Deliver and support network capacity for high-bandwidth systems including CCTV, SCADA, variable message signs, public address and emergency communications systems
• Produce and maintain network documentation including IP schemas, design drawings, configuration standards and as-built records
• Support testing, commissioning, cutovers and handover activities while troubleshooting network, security and virtualisation issues and collaborating with systems, cyber security and controls teams

• VMware vSphere/ESXi and vCenter administration
• Network design, documentation and troubleshooting
• Experience with Panorama management (highly regarded)
