Job summary

Re-Boot IT Solutions is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to install, monitor and support client IT networks and infrastructure across multiple environments. The role focuses on configuring routers, switches, firewalls and servers, ensuring security, backups and efficient operations.

You will work with Windows Server, Active Directory and related technologies while coordinating with providers to maintain service continuity and support client onboarding and IT upgrades.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in network administration, IT infrastructure management or a similar technical position.
• Strong knowledge of computer networks, network hardware, operating systems and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Experience maintaining servers, workstations, printers and network-connected devices.
• Knowledge of network security, user access management, backup procedures and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain computer hardware, software and network infrastructure across client environments.
• Monitor, maintain and optimise LAN, WAN and wireless network performance for reliable connectivity.
• Configure, maintain and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, APs and related equipment.
• Monitor network traffic, system availability, capacity and utilisation to identify performance issues.

• Diagnose network, hardware and software faults and implement corrective measures.
• Document fault diagnostics, resolutions and network maintenance activities.
• Maintain backups, coordinate restore procedures and data recovery.
• Coordinate with ISPs, hardware/software vendors to maintain service continuity.
• Assist with network upgrades, deployments and IT infrastructure projects.
• Provide technical guidance on network access, security procedures and IT usage.

We manage and maintain client IT environments to ensure network reliability, system security, operational efficiency and business continuity.

Due to the requirements of our business and client base, we are seeking an experienced Network Administrator to join our technical team. About the Position The Network Administrator will be responsible for installing, maintaining, monitoring and troubleshooting computer networks, hardware, software and associated IT infrastructure across multiple client environments.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Install, configure and maintain computer hardware, software and network infrastructure across client environments.

Monitor, maintain and optimise LAN, WAN and wireless network performance to ensure reliable connectivity and efficient operation. Configure, maintain and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, network access points and related network equipment. Monitor network traffic, system availability, capacity and utilisation to identify and resolve performance issues.

Install, configure and maintain servers, desktop computers, printers, storage systems and associated network resources. Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, user accounts, passwords and access permissions. Diagnose network, hardware and software faults, determine their causes and implement appropriate corrective measures.

Document fault diagnosis, troubleshooting procedures, resolutions, system changes and network maintenance activities. Monitor and maintain system backups, coordinate backup activities and assist with data restoration and recovery procedures. Maintain network configurations, IT asset inventories, security records, technical documentation and operating procedures.

Perform routine preventative maintenance, software updates, firmware upgrades and hardware replacements. Provide technical assistance to clients experiencing network connectivity, server, workstation and IT infrastructure problems. Coordinate with internet service providers, hardware suppliers and software vendors to resolve technical issues and maintain service continuity.

Assist with network upgrades, equipment deployments, client onboarding and IT infrastructure improvement projects. Provide technical guidance to users on network access, computer systems, security procedures and appropriate use of IT resources.

Essential Requirements

Relevant experience in network administration, IT infrastructure management or a similar technical position. Strong knowledge of computer networks, network hardware, operating systems and troubleshooting methodologies. Experience maintaining servers, workstations, printers and network-connected devices.

Knowledge of network security, user access management, backup procedures and technical documentation. Strong analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technical staff and business clients.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

A relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Networking, Computer Science or a related discipline. Experience with Windows Server, Microsoft technologies, firewall administration and network monitoring tools.

Relevant networking or systems administration certifications. Previous experience working for a Managed IT Services Provider supporting multiple business clients.
