Job summary

NUVANT MSP Pty Ltd, a Sydney-based managed services provider, seeks a Network Administrator for a permanent, full-time role based in Manly. You will install, secure, and manage networks across client environments, document faults, and support users.

The role requires a degree in IT or equivalent experience and strong TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN skills. The position offers a 38-hour week in Manly with a competitive remuneration package and opportunities to mentor, document procedures, and grow

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in IT or related field or 5+ years of relevant experience/certifications
• Experience in network administration
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, VPNs
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID/Active Directory, Windows Server, NAS
• Vendor certifications (CCNA, Ubiquiti, Microsoft) regarded
• Experience writing technical documentation
• Excellent communication and client service skills

About us NUVANT MSP Pty Ltd is a managed service provider supporting architecture, design and professional services firms across Sydney's Northern Beaches. We are looking for an experienced Network Administrator for a full-time, ongoing position (38 hours per week) based in Manly, NSW 2095.

Role overview

The Network Administrator will install, maintain and secure network hardware and software across our clients' environments. They will diagnose and document faults, manage user access and security, and keep servers, printers and workstations performing efficiently.

Key duties

• Install, configure, test and maintain new and upgraded networks, servers and workstations, including firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points (Ubiquiti UniFi) and VPNs
• Research, analyse and monitor network infrastructure, traffic, capacity and usage to keep networks operating at optimal performance
• Assess and recommend improvements to network operations and integrated hardware, software, communications and operating systems
• Provide specialist support and troubleshooting for network problems and emergencies
• Manage user accounts, passwords, access and security in Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Active Directory
• Prepare and maintain procedures and documentation for network inventory, and record the diagnosis and resolution of faults, enhancements and modifications
• Keep servers, NAS storage, printers and personal computers (Apple and Windows) performing efficiently
• Provide help desk escalation support and user training

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology or a related field, or at least five years of relevant experience and/or relevant vendor certification in its place
• Demonstrated experience in network administration
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, VPN (IPsec/WireGuard), routers and switches
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID / Active Directory, Windows Server and NAS environments
• Vendor certifications (e.g. CCNA, Ubiquiti, Microsoft) highly regarded
• Experience writing technical documentation for a knowledge base
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills, and a strong client service focus
