Job summary

Sedgman is seeking an experienced NDT Inspector to join our Paget team, working across Mackay and Bowen Basin client sites. Plan and carry out NDT inspections across equipment, report findings, and support safe, reliable plant operations.

You will need AICIP and NDT certification; API 653 certification is highly regarded. You should be comfortable travelling to site with a company vehicle provided.

Qualifications

• AICIP and NDT certification are required.
• API 653 certification highly regarded.
• Experienced, reliable and able to work independently.
• Sound knowledge of inspection codes, standards and pressure equipment inspection requirements.
• Flexible, customer-focused and willing to travel to site when required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out NDT inspections across a range of equipment and assets.
• Inspect boilers, pressure vessels, piping, tanks and associated equipment.
• Use a range of NDT methods including UT, MT, PT, RT and visual inspection.
• Identify defects and help clients maintain safe and reliable operations.

Based in Paget, this hands-on role offers plenty of variety. You'll work across a range of client sites throughout Mackay and the Bowen Basin, carrying out inspections, testing and reporting to help keep plant and equipment operating safely and reliably.

You’ll enjoy the autonomy to manage your own workload, build strong relationships with clients and help shape a growing area of the business.

No two days are the same. You’ll have the flexibility to travel to client sites as required, with a company vehicle provided.
